A seasoned HR leader with over 20 years of experience, Jhuma Sarkar has been instrumental in driving transformational HR strategies across industries. A Post Graduate in HR, SHRM-SCP certified, and an XLRI alumnus, she brings expertise in Performance Management, Learning & Development, Organizational Development, Career Path & Succession Planning, and Compensation & Benefits, including payroll revamp with a strong focus on taxation management—an uncommon blend in HR. Her contributions have earned her multiple accolades, including the Women Achiever Award from the “Genius HR Excellence Awards” in 2016 and 2018 and recognition at the “World HRD Congress” forum in 2017. A firm believer in holistic leadership, she is also a practitioner and advocate of traditional Yoga and Vipassana meditation, grounding her HR interventions in the principles of “Pragya” (wisdom).

About her previous roles:

Prior to her current role, Jhuma Sarkar headed the Centre of Excellence and HRBP function at Prince Pipes, where she led initiatives in Performance Management, Learning & Development, Organizational Development, Strategic Workforce Planning, and Career Path Designing. Before that, she served as Head of Human Resources at Shapoorji Pallonji Armada Oil Exploration, where she played a pivotal role in operational efficiency, automation, employee engagement, and payroll management, achieving a higher retention rate than the industry standard. She also held the position of Head of HR at Sharyans Resources, where she designed and set up HR operations for various small units under the parent company umbrella
