In this role, he will oversee security governance, risk management, regulatory compliance, security operations, and technology risk, aligning cybersecurity initiatives with business objectives and evolving regulatory requirements. Prior to joining Avendus, Abhishek served as Head – Security Testing and SOC Operations at SBI Mutual Fund, where he drove the transformation of security operations and monitoring programmes.

Ashish Chandra Joins State Bank of India as Senior Vice President – Cybersecurity

Anand Varadarajan Joins Starbucks as Executive Vice President & Chief Technology Officer (CTO)

Anand Varadarajan will join Starbucks as Executive Vice President & Chief Technology Officer (CTO) starting January 19, 2026, leading the global Starbucks Technology organisation and reporting directly to the CEO. He comes to Starbucks from Amazon, where he spent nearly 19 years building customer-centred technology and supply-chain platforms, and was most recently responsible for technology leadership in Amazon’s Worldwide Grocery Stores business. In his new role, Varadarajan will lead technology innovation and operational scaling to support Starbucks’ global digital and retail priorities.
