Abhishek Mathur, General Manager – ICT, Wartsila is an Experienced ICT leader with a demonstrated history of working in the Energy, Engineering, Telco, IT, and Banking & Finance sectors. Expert in complete ICT & Application lifecycle management- from engagement, consulting, solution designing, and delivery to support and refresh or exit. Skilled in ITIL, IT Development, IT Service Management, Vendor Management, Governance, Cloud Computing, TCO, Strategic Planning, Leadership, Financial Services (TCO), P&L.

Question: Describe your current role, and what responsibilities do you undertake or any specific achievements you would like to mention.

I work for Wärtsilä as GM-ICT Services, where I am in charge of global ICT, Cloud Transition, Information Security Practice, and OT services.

Question: Your Journey in the cybersecurity Industry.

Recently, I won the Emerging IT leader of the year for 2021-22 at the CISO Summit & Awards. I had been a Speaker at various international events like Gartner, Exito etc. Furthermore, I established and groomed the Information Security practice for perimeter and base line security.

Question: If you could make one recommendation to the next generation of cybersecurity leaders, what would it be?

My advice to the next generation of cybersecurity leaders is to keep it simple, keep learning, be a business partner & collaborator, and also always share your experiences.
