With over 23 years in the field, he has led major cybersecurity transformation projects in corporate environments. Recognized seven times as one of CISO Platform’s Most Influential Community Contributors (2016-2023) and honored as the Innovative CISO of the Year from 2018 to 2020, he excels at building a strong cybersecurity culture and delivering cutting-edge solutions. His experience spans digital risk assessment, managing vendor relationships, and handling cloud and mobile vulnerabilities, along with mitigating fraud and responding swiftly to incidents. Having contributed to key projects like Cyber Security Centers of Excellence and Cloud Security initiatives, he combines deep technical expertise with practical, forward-thinking strategies. He holds an MBA in IT from United Business Institutes.
About his previous roles:
Prior to his current role, Amit Ghodekar was the Senior Vice President of Information Security at Axis Bank, where he led the cybersecurity program for eight key subsidiaries, including Axis Securities, Axis Mutual Fund, Axis Capital, Axis Finance, Freecharge, ATL, ATSL, and Axis Pension Fund. Before that, he served as the Global Group Head of Cyber Security at Cover-More Group, overseeing cybersecurity initiatives on a global scale. He also held the position of Senior Vice President and Group CISO at Motilal Oswal Financial Services Ltd., managing the company’s cybersecurity strategy and ensuring the protection of critical financial data and assets.
