About: Lt Col (Dr) Santosh Khadsare
He is an army veteran with over 25 years of experience in cybersecurity and digital forensics. Known for his expertise in digital forensics, cyberlaws, information security, cyber audits, and incident response, he has made significant contributions across government, law enforcement, academia, and the corporate world. Beyond his technical skills, he is highly respected in the digital forensics community for his mentorship and dedication to nurturing the next generation of professionals. His diverse experience and passion for guiding others make him a standout figure in the cybersecurity field.
About his previous roles:
Prior to his current role, Lt Col (Dr) Santosh Khadsare served as Vice President (DFIR) at eSec Forte Technologies, where he launched the DRONA series of Digital Forensic Make in India products. He also led a Digital Forensic Lab at CERT-In, Ministry of Electronics and IT, New Delhi, from Feb 2019 to Feb 2021. Recognized for his contributions, he received the Lifetime Achievement Award in 2023 and the Digital Forensic Analyst Excellence Award in 2021. Lt Col Khadsare has represented India at international events like the Colombo Security Conclave in Jan 2022 and the First BRICS Workshop on Digital Forensics in Aug 2021. He has also been a member of the CII Task Force on Cyber Security and the CHFI Scheme Committee of EC COUNCIL. A National Cyber Security Scholar, he authored a technical paper on the role of digital forensics in Industry 4.0 and actively mentors cyber enthusiasts. He has conducted Faculty Development Programs at prestigious institutes, authored numerous articles, and initiated India’s first Digital Forensics publication, www.digital4n6journal.com. Additionally, he has been a speaker at various international conferences, including the International Conference on Cyber Law, Cybercrime & Cyber Security, C0C0N, and GovInfoSec Summit Asia.
