About: Ramesh Gurram

He is an information security leader with 26+ years of experience in IT and information security across the government and BFSI sectors. He has successfully led complex cybersecurity programs, aligning them with business goals and ensuring strong security frameworks. Notably, he played a key role in overseeing a secure and timely data migration during a major bank merger. Ramesh also architected and implemented Next-Gen Cyber Security Operations Centers, integrating advanced tools, technologies, processes, and skilled resources to enhance security operations within large organizations.

About his previous roles:

Prior to his current role, Ramesh Gurram has held several key roles in information security, including serving as Chief Information Security Officer (CISO) at the Multi Commodity Exchange of India Ltd. (MCX). In this role, he was responsible for overseeing the exchange’s entire cybersecurity framework, ensuring the protection of critical data and systems, and leading initiatives to strengthen the organization’s security posture. Before this, he was the Chief Information Security Manager at Bank of Baroda, where he managed the bank’s security strategy, particularly during its merger, ensuring a seamless and secure migration process. He also served as an IT security expert at the State Bank of India, playing an important role in enhancing security measures and implementing key cybersecurity initiatives across the bank’s extensive IT infrastructure.
