He is a seasoned finance leader with over 20 years of experience across global corporations like GE and Maruti Suzuki, as well as high-growth startups like Ecom Express, Tata 1mg, and CarDekho. At GE, he was part of a premier leadership program, later becoming CFO for three South Asia businesses and securing a ~$3B “Make in India” deal with Indian Railways. At Maruti, he handled one of India’s largest income tax cases. In the startup world, he led 1mg’s stake sale to Tata, helped Ecom Express scale 4x profitably, and guided CarDekho to profitability while strengthening governance for its IPO journey. A Chartered Accountant and SRCC graduate, Mayank excels in financial strategy, compliance, risk management, and business growth.

About his previous roles:

Prior to his current role, Mayank Gupta held key financial leadership roles across high-growth startups and investment firms. As Group CFO at Z47 (formerly Matrix Partners India), he played a pivotal role in financial strategy, capital management, and venture investments. Prior to that, as Group CFO at CarDekho, he helped the company achieve profitability, led multiple funding rounds, and strengthened its governance framework for an IPO. At Tata 1mg, he was instrumental in supporting Tata’s acquisition of a strategic stake in the company, contributing to its rapid expansion. With a deep understanding of capital markets and financial strategy, He now focuses on investing in high-growth, high-ROCE listed companies while also backing tech-driven startups across various sectors as an angel investor.
