Aditya Vardhan has been elevated as Vice President IT and (Group) Chief Information Security Officer at Jindal Steel Ltd. 

In a significant leadership appointment in the technology and cybersecurity sector, Jindal Steel Ltd. has appointed Aditya Vardhan as Vice President IT and (Group) Chief Information Security Officer. In his expanded role, he will lead enterprise cyber resilience, information security, and privacy across Jindal Steel Group’s India and global operations, while overseeing security across IT, operational technology (OT), and AI environments. His mandate also includes IT Centre of Excellence operations and governance within the Group Capability Centre, supporting secure digital transformation and business-aligned technology execution. 

Prior to taking on his expanded leadership role, Vardhan served as Associate Vice President IT & Chief Information Security Officer at Jindal Steel from December 2022 to March 2026. In that role, he was a business partner driving information and cybersecurity strategy, IT governance, and compliance as the organization expanded its digital footprint across IT and OT. Earlier, he served as AVP & Business Head – Cyber Security & Risk at Quess Corp Limited, where he guided enterprise security architecture and programs while supporting clients in secure business growth and digital innovation. 

Earlier in his career, Vardhan served as Practice Head – Information Security at CMS IT Services, Head – Information Security & IT Compliance at Cairn India, and Head – Information Security at Adani Group. At PepsiCo, he led security operations for the India business before taking responsibility for AMEA operations. He began his IT career at Larsen & Toubro, where he worked in IT infrastructure and operations. His experience also includes cybersecurity business leadership, governance, risk management, privacy, OT security, and enterprise resilience. 

His expanded appointment reflects Jindal Steel’s continued focus on integrating technology leadership and cybersecurity while strengthening resilience across IT, OT, cloud, data, and AI environments.

Kinjal Shah has been appointed as Chief Technology Officer at CDSL – Central Depository Services India Ltd. 

In a significant leadership appointment in the financial markets and technology sector, CDSL – Central Depository Services India Ltd. has appointed Kinjal Shah as Chief Technology Officer (CTO). In his new role, he will lead the organization’s technology agenda, bringing extensive experience across capital markets technology, enterprise applications, digital transformation, software engineering, and large-scale application portfolios. CDSL’s official leadership page currently lists Shah as Chief Technology Officer. 

Prior to joining CDSL, Shah served as Chief Technology Officer at YES SECURITIES from September 2023 to September 2026. Earlier, he held leadership roles at Edelweiss Global Markets, including Principal and Vice President, where he worked across structured products, risk management solutions, trade enrichment and algorithmic risk, enterprise applications, and software engineering practices. A significant part of Shah’s career was spent at the National Stock Exchange of India, where he progressed through Senior Manager, Chief Manager, and Associate Vice President roles. He managed more than 20 external-facing applications across multiple markets and exchanges and spearheaded digital transformation initiatives involving architecture redesign, API portals, UI/UX improvements, fintech integration, CI/CD adoption, single sign-on, microservices, and blockchain-based e-voting solutions. Earlier, he served as Senior Project Manager at Chenoa Information Services and held application development roles at ICE and JPMorgan Chase. 

His appointment reflects CDSL’s continued focus on strengthening technology leadership and building resilient, scalable, and innovative technology capabilities for India’s evolving securities-market infrastructure.

Basan Gouda has been elevated to Vice President & Head – IT & CISO at JSW Energy Ltd. 

In a significant leadership movement in the energy and technology sector, JSW Energy Ltd. has elevated Basan Gouda S to Vice President and Head – IT & Chief Information Security Officer (CISO). In his new role, he will oversee the company’s IT and information security functions, driving technology strategy, strengthening digital infrastructure, and supporting secure and resilient IT operations as the organization continues to expand its digital capabilities. 

Prior to his elevation, Gouda served as AVP, Head – IT at JSW Energy. He previously held roles including GM – IT & Digital, DGM IT, and AGM IT, progressing through increasingly senior technology responsibilities over nearly two decades with the organization. Earlier in his career, he served as Information System Manager at Vasavadatta Cement, where he built extensive experience in enterprise IT and information systems. Throughout his career at JSW Energy, Gouda has been involved in technology and digital initiatives supporting the organization’s evolving operational requirements. His progression from AGM IT through DGM, GM – IT & Digital, AVP and now Vice President and Head – IT & CISO reflects a long-term leadership journey within the organization, combining enterprise IT management with a growing focus on cybersecurity and digital resilience.

Anubhav Rajput has been appointed as Chief Technology Officer at IIFL Finance. 

In a significant leadership appointment in the financial services and technology sector, IIFL Finance has appointed Anubhav Rajput as Chief Technology Officer (CTO). Earlier, he served as CIO, Head Digital & Operations at Cholamandalam MS General Insurance and held senior technology leadership roles at Max Bupa Health Insurance, Tata Communications, and IBM. His earlier career also includes roles at HCL Technologies and Lucent Technologies. Across these roles, he has worked on cloud-native and scalable architectures, enterprise modernization, API-driven microservices, digital transformation, AI and ML applications, intelligent automation, analytics, and technology governance. His experience also includes strengthening cybersecurity, data privacy, and compliance frameworks within highly regulated financial-services environments.
