In a significant leadership appointment in the global chemicals and manufacturing sector, Tata Chemicals has appointed Maj Sumit Sharma as CISO / Global Cyber & Digital Transformation Leader. Most recently, he served as Deputy CISO at Mumbai International Airport Limited (CSMIA), where he played a key role in aligning enterprise risk governance with cybersecurity frameworks across IT and OT environments, while ensuring compliance with BCAS, NCIIPC, ISO 27001, and IEC 62443 standards. Prior to that, he worked as a Senior Consultant at Deloitte, leading cybersecurity consulting engagements including NIST and GDPR compliance programs, policy harmonization, and post-merger security integration initiatives.

Earlier in his career, he served in the Indian Army for over a decade, where he led critical initiatives in AI/ML-based surveillance systems, cloud security architecture, and large-scale digital transformation programs, including COVID response systems and secure cloud deployments. His early career also includes experience with Accenture, building a strong foundation in enterprise technology.

Earlier in his career, he worked with Tata Consultancy Services, where he led enterprise data management and integration initiatives across telecom and banking sectors in Asia and Europe, establishing a strong foundation in large-scale data and platform engineering.

Her early career experience laid a strong foundation in audit, compliance, and governance frameworks, enabling her to lead complex cybersecurity programs at scale.
